About This Series
Every morning, we scan 20+ free government sources across the United States and Canada. The National Weather Service, Storm Prediction Center, Weather Prediction Center, FEMA, USGS, CDC, NIFC, NOAA, Environment Canada, the Canadian Wildland Fire Information System, and provincial wildfire services all feed into a single readiness picture.
Each of the 15 regions gets its own brief with five sections: Active Weather, Infrastructure, Public Health, Watch Item (the 3-to-7-day forward look), and Explore Today (links to preparedness guides on this site). Active conditions name specific states. Quiet days are reported as quiet days. No filler, no fear.
The briefs are written for the common person. Technical terms are explained on first use. Hazards are translated into household impact. Every claim traces back to an official source.
