Carbon monoxide safety is non-negotiable

Never run a generator indoors, in a garage, on a covered porch, in a carport, or in any enclosed or partially enclosed space, even with doors or windows open. Recoil start only, and not sold in California
Despite being the newer generation, this model dropped electric start in favor of recoil only. Reviewers consistently describe the pull as a solid, deliberate effort due to engine compression, not a light tug. Separately, this SKU (EU3200IAN) is not sold in California; Honda sells a CARB-compliant EU3200IAC version specifically for that market.
The other thing to know is tank size. The 1.2-gallon tank is a third the size of the EU3000iS1AN's 3.4-gallon tank, so despite similar or better fuel efficiency per hour, total runtime per fill is shorter, roughly 8.6 hours at a quarter load compared to nearly 20 hours. For an overnight outage that is likely fine; for an unattended multi-day run, plan on more frequent refueling than the older, heavier model requires.

Maintenance
Run the generator under load for 15 to 30 minutes every 30 days to keep the engine and fuel system in working order. The fuel injection system is more resistant to stale-fuel issues than a carbureted engine, but fuel stabilizer is still worthwhile for storage periods longer than 30 days.
Check the oil level before every use; Oil Alert shuts the engine off automatically if oil drops below a safe level. If operating in sub-freezing temperatures, Honda sells a breather tube heater accessory to prevent internal engine damage in cold weather. Follow the manual's schedule for oil change intervals, and inspect the air filter and spark plug annually.
