Check health coverage options.
You have 60 days to elect COBRA. Massachusetts Medicaid expanded — check your household at the state benefits portal.
Apply for food and utility assistance.

Unemployment benefits
File online through the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) at the state portal. $1,105/week is the highest UI maximum in the country. 30 weeks maximum is also above the 26-week national standard. Rate is set annually at 57.5% of the state average weekly wage. File via Unemployment Services for Workers at mass.gov.

Massachusetts has had near-universal health coverage since 2006 (RomneyCare) and expanded under the ACA in 2014 as MassHealth. Adults up to 138% FPL qualify for MassHealth Standard. Apply at mass.gov/masshealth.
