Iowa is under a slight risk for both severe storms and excessive rainfall, and the Storm Prediction Center places a slight risk from eastern Ohio into western New York for Wednesday afternoon. Hurricane Lowell has moved north of Hawaii, leaving a flood watch on the Big Island. The Atlantic basin is expected to stay empty for seven days.
